Advertising exchanges seem like a great way to share your traffic in exchange for more from other publishers, unfortunately most of them aren’t very effective. Some rely on ugly banners, others don’t seem to have any members, and most of them serve up ads that are completely irrelevant to your website. Adgridwork is different because it serves attractive contextual links for relevant sites. Here’s an example of an Adgridwork advertisement that recently appeared here on this blog:

As you can see, it’s got a fresh, clean look that’s different enough from traditional Adsense ads that it can be noticed. In fact, I really like the way these ads look, but if you want something simple you can also display single links without descriptions, which are easier to format with CSS. The combination of these two types of ads means that you can make them look nice on almost any website!

Adgridwork is a very open, community-type project. It doesn’t appear to show your ad based on the impressions from your website, but instead simply shows your ads on any site where they’d be appropriate, and never displays paid ads. This is great for new websites because it means that older, more established websites don’t take priority and bury your chance of getting exposure for your new site!
